Lessons learned from building my Dream Team + 2 words you must use with anyone you hire!

    November 17, 2011

Do you have your Dream Team in place? If not, we have to talk. :)

Last week, I had to fire one of my employees because it became crystal clear that she was no longer part of my Dream Team. It was very hard for me to do because she was a fantastic salesperson, but even if she was bringing revenue up, her behavior was dragging the team down.

So how do you put your Dream Team in place? The first step is to create or update your Employee Handbook. Watch this week's vlog to see my lessons learned and how the process became a cathartic exercise. Plus, I share the two words that you must use with every person you hire (employees, contractors, or consultants).

Melody Stevens of Time Millionaire helped us with our Employee Handbook.
I learned the two words that you must use with employees from Jennifer Longmore of Soul Journeys

Premium Members, I am sharing my Employee Handbook with you in the VIP Cafe under "Documents". Although it's very specific to my business, you can at least use bits and parts of it for your own handbook!
