The success secret that starts with a P...

    March 1, 2012

Can you guess what that word is?

Let me first tell you how to get it before I reveal what the word is. :)

The other day, I shared with Savor Premium Members my Daily Action Plan - Inspir-Action! It's from my M.A.N.I.F.E.S.T Method that I've developed from my concert piano days and throughout my journey as an entrepreneur to make s*** happen. :)

At the core of the method is my Daily Action Plan... because what you do on a daily basis adds up to the sum of your current reality.

The Daily Action Plan is divided into seven parts, one of which is called: "Send Out 3 Ships". From the emails and comments I received, this part was a popular hit with the women!

The concept of the ships came from one of my favorite books of all time, Chellie Campbell's The Wealthy Spirit. The idea is that in the old times, people would send out ships and wait for something to come back to them. Some ships would never come back because they would get wrecked in a storm. Some would come back with food. And some would come back with gold.

The point is that if you don't send out ships, nothing can come back to you. Conversely, if you send something out on a daily basis, something is bound to come back to you.

Whenever you send out a sales letter or email, that is a ship. When you send out a book proposal, that is a ship. When you post an ad for an employee, that is a ship. If you send out a lot of ships, something is bound to come back to you.

It's important to send out ships on a daily basis. The ship you send out today may come back to you in a week or it may come back in five years. I recommend sending out three ships a day. Send and wait patiently because something will come back.

When I thumb through my notebook, I always make a huge star next to the ships that have come back to me. Make a big deal when that happens to you because it is the acknowledgement that you have manifested a dream. Savor the success.

So what's this Ship exercise meant to develop? PERSEVERANCE! That's a success trait that every single person who succeeds has in spades.

I think the reason that the women had such a positive response to the Ships concept is because it gave permission to "fail" and to know that it's all a game... a numbers game. When you get a rejection, it doesn't knock the wind out of you because you know you have so many other ships out there coming back to you.

Have you had a ship come back to you recently? I want to hear about it... comment here and inspire others with your stories!
