Just like all of our business systems leverage each other to create a successful business, our muscles leverage each other to keep our bones and organs in place and our body properly aligned.
If a marketing plan is weak, sales suffer. If muscles are weak or tight, the body suffers. Tight or weak hamstrings pull on the hip bones pulling the pelvis out of line resulting in muscle tension up the back and into the neck triggering headaches. This is not the only imbalance that can cause headaches. It could be tight pectoralis muscles from sitting in front of a computer all day which results in an imbalance with the upper back. It can be stress triggering clenching of the jaw. It can be improper ergonomics at your workstation. Or maybe it isn't a result of muscle tension and it's a medical condition.
If business processes aren't documented, businesses operate inefficiently. If processes for managing headaches aren't written, the body will operate inefficiently and chronic pain may result. Your plan to reduce headaches should include:
- Stretching (Daily)
- Strength Training (Several Times Per Week)
- Epsom Salt Baths (Weekly or more)
- Meditation (Daily)
- Prescribed Medications (As Prescribed)
Taking care of your muscles may reduce chronic pain and allow you to function optimally at your business.
