Do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day?

    May 1, 2009

    Short answer: yes.

Long answer: chances are you don’t because your natural talents are going untapped.

My business partner and I recently read “Strengths Finder 2.0”, by Tom Rath.  This is a #1 Wall Street Journal Bestseller by a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author. I would like to suggest that you also read it and take the accompanying online assessment.

The book is about uncovering your talents – and is rooted in more than 40 years of research by scientists at Gallup. Perhaps you know, or think you know, your strengths. Are you focusing on them?  Or, maybe you need to understand someone else’s strengths – a colleague, a partner, an employee. They, too, can then read and take the online assessment.

The book explains that we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths. Included in this book is an online assessment that helps to indentify your top 5 talents. It’s a quick read, and loaded with strategies for applying your strengths. The book promises that it will change the way you look at yourself – and the world around you.

After we read the book and took the online assessment, my business partner and I sat down and discussed our strengths and how we could maximize these. We will continue to use this book as a handy reference for propelling our business forward.

Give yourself the chance to do what you do best everyday!

P.S. One of Psi Bands’ goals is to land another large retailer with 5000+ stores.
