    Clearly, Anything is Possible!

    November 4, 2008
  • Okay..so am I the only one sitting here getting chills watching the returns? Come on, admit it, doesn't it make you really believe that ANYTHING is possible???

Below you can see me early today at a WELLalarm photo shoot! (They were suppose to get the charms - not me! Seriously, I totally didn't know I was being photographed and was also on an MIT Enterprise Forum Board Conference call when the photographer started shooting so don't laugh too hard!)

    Stephanie Cion and WELLcharms

Busy few days over here at WELLalarm. Over the past month or so, given the media focus on the state of general panic in the economy and on the election we have decided to lay low on PR. We have only really responded to various solicitations from the media rather than reaching out to them.

Instead we have been following a grassroots approach by methodically reaching out to the top 10 bloggers to review our product and service in each area that we have identified as being larger potential markets for WELLalarm. Examples include: Diabetes, Peanut Allergy, Caregivers, Frequent Travelers, Epilepsy, Lupus, Autism, Parents, Pregnant Women, Bee Allergy, Mommy Bloggers, Shellfish Allergy, etc. Thus far, and we are only beginning to see one of the first fruits of our labors Click here to see an example!

This has been an incredibly lucrative strategy - I suspect because it is so highly targeted. We have also recieved incredbile feedback. That said, I do not think it will substantially help us with our overall goal at the moment of making it onto a major TV segment, but you cant beat sales, eh? Grin.  And actually I am startin to think there may very well be a long tail effect that could help us with PR...

Has anyone tried a similar strategy? If so, I would LOVE to hear how it worked out!
