For those of you who are also part of the Link, Stumble & Comment cafe; are we still posting to both cafes? I don't think I can handle both and I'd prefer to stick to this one seeing as the rules will actually be enforced. What do you think?

Also, should we let people in that cafe know that we will no longer be active?

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that either, so I posted in both places.  I really don't know what the right answer is.  I feel badly for the people who are there who aren't here because the group that's here is really the most active on that board.

What does everyone else think?  Sarah?  Lynn?  Alisa?

The thing is, like you said, the people there rarely reciprocated the favors. And now that we have this group as a solution it's a little weird. Not sure...

The reason I wanted us to move on over here is because after speaking with a few of you, it was clear that not everyone was reciprocating.  And it's all about give, give, get!  Alisa and I talked about it, and we noticed that it was primarily that Premium Members who were "giving".  This is why I asked Alisa to set up this cafe and there would be a "Blog Boogie Woman" who would gently make sure that everyone was playing in a fun and fair way.  This shouldn't be a burdensome thing... just a circle where we help one another!

But how do we announce that to the other group without being mean?  There are certainly women over there who did participate.  Not as much as us (and I'm nowhere near as good about it as some others), but still....

I am a little behind in emails...can someone please tell me what I should tweet or Facebook in a condensed, one page email so that I can support you? I love this group and wish to support you all, but with 100s of emails daily, I have a hard time keeping up.

I must admit, I'm a guilty party here.  Been extremely overwhelmed with everything and haven't had as much time to participate in these chats as I would like.  I'm looking for a new business/warehouse location near the college here so I can hire some cheap labor (interns) before I go nuts!;-)  Then, I can dedicate more time to these sort of things.  Sorry everyone.

You can consider outsourcing your shipping to shipwire.com ,Amazon,FBA or http://www.chinadivision.com/ . if your products are sourced from US, shipwire and FBA is your best choice,if your products are sourced From China, ChinaDivision may be your best choice.

    Christine,

Have you considered outsourcing the whole shipping thing?  There's a great service called ShipWire (http://www.shipwire.com).  Very reasonable.  It might work really well for you....

    Just a suggestion.

Yes, shipwire is good. But it is a bit expensive. But my products were sourced from China,I fount a company named http://www.chinadivision.com/,an order fulfillment company from China. I do not know if it is suitable for me.

    Hi Deena,

Thanks for that URL.  I'll have to take a look at it.  I've tried to outsource things like production, etc. but being the control freak/perfectionist I am, have been very disappointed in the past.  Sounds interesting...hope it doesn't cost a fortune...these candles are not light-weight!:-)

ditto on what Christine said... sounds like we're going thru some similar stuff. I'm trying to move production out, we're tripping over eachother! I'm going to try to catch up on all of this soon, thanks for being patient. I do really want to give, give but priorites seem to be piling higher than ever this month. Will digg, link etc. soon :)

Hi Christine and Kristen-- I can say that we were not talking about either of you when we mentioned people not reciprocating. No worries to anyone who needs to lurk for a while as other business needs take on more importance. it's perfectly okay to lurk, or even to go on extended hiatus (hey sometimes we all need to unplug). The only thing I'm trying to prevent is people promoting their own stuff but not doing anything to promote the other women in the group. From what I can tell so far, everyone here is really encouraging and totally embodies and lives the concept of give give get.

Regarding the problem of both cafes: I'm planning on focusing my energies here. I do think I will still drop into the Link Stumble and Comment cafe occasionally, when I can. It will be a lesser priority for me. Because the cafe is for premium members and that one is not, I think it's ok to have the two. There are a few active members of LSC who are not premium members. If you want to announce to that group that you do not plan to be as active there, I think that would be ok, but not necessary.

Okay, now all of that said: I'm on hiatus til next Friday....

I am giong to focus my energy here too.  I just think that the other cafe will understand and I feel guilty about almost everything I do that isn't what someone else wants - so in this case I'm taking my New Year's Resolution seriously and I'm going to be nice to myself...
