In 1930 my family started a conservation cleaning and archival products business. Our customers at the time were museums and textile collectors. We often received garments belonging to bride's wanting to restore their mothers dresses and a "very discriminating cliental" such as royalty and celebrities. When these clients were unable to find local companies offering specialized high end cleaning services for rare and collectible textiles, I decided that we should offer these services more openly and in 1978 we opened up our first office to the public.
