Growing up I watched my mom, a single mother of 5, manage her family, her parents (in their old age) and maintain a career. Now that her parents have passed and all her children are out of the house she has been able to achieve all of the things in life she wanted to when she was younger. My mom has sacrificed her “Me” in order to provide for everyone else. We naturally balance every part of our life , but neglect the most important part. The part that is missing is the nourishment of self. We don’t realize that we can do a better job at providing for those around us by making sure our Me is nurtured.
