I am currently working to revolutionize the way we consume handmade goods. The attitude towards consumption has become focused on what is “trending” or what meets a certain price point or function. What if we focused more on where our objects come from, how they are made, and how the person who made them thought out form and function before handcrafting the object? I believe that educating the consumer and telling the stories of the artisans will create a way of commerce that will fuel authenticity, quality, and satisfaction for both the consumer and the maker.
