Of course you're right Angela. You'd think by my age I would have developed that thick skin, but still working on it.

When I started with FB I had no idea what I was doing. As a result I ended up with two profiles though I didn't realize it until fairly recently. Not only is this "illegal" with FB, but it created a lot of extra work and confusion for me. So I set about dumping one account. In case anyone has the...

As a really, really sensitive person, allowing myself to LISTEN to someone's input even if it is negative and personally hurtful, is very hard for me. Trying to disengage from the emotion is not something that comes naturally. I admire your ability to handle this so well Angela. There is a lesson in that which is that it's not the comments, it's our PERCEPTION of their meaning and potential imp...

Lori, another interesting post. What jumped out at me was this: The discovery was if inspiration plays such a small part in success why is it that so many companies focus on inspiring people. Instead of giving them the tools to do what needs to be done. This is the crux of the issue for our company. We even talk about what we do as "inspiring and teaching people how to celebrate green." But as...

Great tips. I am moving toward scheduling times for different tasks as you suggest. I do set a timer every hour so I take five minutes to walk quickly in a circle through my house and get exercise breaks. If I don't do this, I end up at the end of the day hunched over like a crone. Yikes!

Annette, can you tell us a bit more about the interview, i.e. what it's for, how long and why you're doing this, i.e. what's the benefit to your biz?

Great. Thank you. I hope you'll address the triple bottom line more in upcoming posts. We hear a lot about it but how it plays out, especially in new entrepreneurial ventures is something I think all of us could benefit from hearing. How specifically do you make these three areas a focus of your business planning and growth. (We're already doing this, but I know a lot of others may be intereste...

And while we're at it, this is interesting too, especially when we're thinking about our social media strategies: Just 1-in-5 Twitter users are actually "active," according to a new study from security firm Barracuda Labs (using a very generous definition of "active"). The study tracked rough...

No big surprise, but reinforcement for the importance of tans and followers (at least on the day the survey was taken) Facebook fans and Twitter followers of a brand are more likely to not only recommend, but they are also more likely to buy from, those brands than they were before becoming fa...

To answer your question..what I can't do....as of yet, make money with Celebrate Green, lol! But we're working on remedying that one :) I learned PS back when I was working as a freelance writer and had a lot of small business clients for whom I wrote newsletters. Once "desktop publishing" came into vogue they all wanted me to design the newsletters as well, so I taught myself layout with Pag...

A tip like this, if implemented can have tremendous results. One thing I will do is to take an ad that makes a real impression on me and re-work it with a Celebrate Green theme. I might even fool around with it in Photoshop, substituting our logo or the book for the main object etc. I never use these, but they are a great jumping off point to keep my brain looking in new, different directions. ...

I created mind maps for myself from the time I was a kid. Just didn't realize that's what they were called until years ago, I happened on the software. As much as I love working online, I prefer to make my mindmaps on paper. But however you do them, they can really, really help clarify thinking. ...
