Mary Calhoun Brown is the award-winning author of There Are No Words, a novel that takes readers inside the life of a girl with autism. The book has been chosen as "Outstanding Book for Young People with Disabilities" by IBBY and won "Runner-Up" at the Nashville Book Festival. Brown has developed a curriculum guide that accompanies the book, which she sends free to educators who request it. She is available for classroom and conference speaking engagements on a limited basis. Brown is the mother of three sons and an advocate for children and adults with autism. She lives in beautiful Huntington, West Virginia with her husband Cam and their boys.
