My version of Wayne Gretzky’s famous quote is similar: if you don’t ask, the answer is no. I truly believe in this statement, and put it to the test today when I asked one of my important retailers if he would be willing to give us a recommendation to another retailer (yes, his competition). You could say this was bold, and it was, but the answer would be no if I didn’t ask. So, I asked. And guess what? He said yes.
The point: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” So, believe in yourself, stretch, and ask for you want or need. You may end up getting it!
P.S. One of Psi Bands goals for 2009 is to land another large retail account (5,000+ stores).
