OFF TOPIC and FUN: Part of being a mom, I'm learning, is going with the flow and being creative about how to make it work. We did about 10 takes of this vlog, and nothing was working because Sienna just wasn't having it. Every time I said the word "organized", she would make a funny noise. (As I said in a previous vlog, there's a new CEO in town and it ain't me!)
Here is one of our funny blooper outakes below. Instead of forcing the issue, we just did the vlog while giving her a bath. That worked! :)

Babies have so many lessons for us, and this week's vlog is not really a business lesson but something that dawned on me after watching this video. Look at how delighted she is to discover herself in the mirror for the first time!
This made me think about how amazing it would be if we were just as delighted to savor even the small baby steps that we have made this past year.
As you know, I opened up an Om Aroma shop at the Bryant Park Holiday Shops this past holiday season. As we are closing on January 3rd, I have to admit that part of me feels depressed (I'm sure part of it is "Olympic Blues"). Why? Because our sales went way down after Christmas and people stopped coming into our shop.
I started to focus on all the negatives: "What's wrong with our brand? What's wrong with our booth?" You know how that goes... we've all experienced that downward spiral when you begin to doubt yourself and your progress.
