PR Opportunities Procedures
Savor the Success is so happy to have you here and we certainly hope your brand buzz is growing. Naturally, we are happy to share great PR-related opportunities with you, but we'd like to lay down some official “PR Opp Procedures” as we assist you in building your brands.
Savor the Success asks that you simply respect and follow these procedures:
* These are opportunities we are sharing with you in good faith, and we are not directing you to make contact. Therefore, please pitch independently. There is no need to reference where the lead originated.
* ALWAYS use the honor code when pitching, and only pitch leads that are truly a good fit for your business/brand. Please use impeccable professionalism when pitching. Only pitch what the reporter is asking for. Do NOT, under any circumstances, respond with an email that does not apply. If you do, this attempt will only undermine you and your brand. More importantly, it will tarnish any potential relationship you might want to build with this contact.
* DO NOT call the reporter, unless otherwise specified. If their preferred method of contact is an email, then only send an email.
* DO NOT send attachments - EVER. Attachments should only be sent after you've made contact and additional information has been requested of you.
* ALWAYS use a subject line that directly states why you are making contact. There will be times that a "subject line" is specified in the query.
* ALWAYS be cognizant and respectful of deadlines. Tip: the early bird gets the worm!
